Because I said so....

With a shade under a week left until my birthday, I've (yet again) failed to update.

a dinner has been planned and get together afterwards for some family and friends.
It's very much appreciated, and I'm sure we'll all have a great time.

Hopefully i'll have something worth talking about soon.

As the subject of this implies, in 30 days, I’ll be 30 years old…
I don’t really feel much change.

I’m not fearing it.

To be honest, I really don’t care.

I’ve never really been one for birthdays, and I don’t expect much brouhaha to go on.

In honor of my 30 years, I thought that I would write some stuff…





Here are the ideas I came up with:





1.)One story for each year of my life-This idea was canned for a couple of reasons, first off I don’t really remember anything before I was 6, and frankly that’s like 20% of the time. Second, I don’t really associate my memories with years… i.e.”hey remember that time I was 12 and I ….” Not so much… If I’m lucky, I’ll remember a school grade, but even that is iffy.

2.)Each day, I’d go over one of my 30x30-I like this idea, but I’m not sure if I can actually write for 30 days straight.


I think what I’m going to do is a mix of both. If I can commit to one story per week, and then further work on a couple of 30x30 items every few days. I think I might be able to handle it.



If not, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

My Parents Treadmill, and it's current state of use....

Tuesdays are my late night at work. I'm here 11-8.
But the problem is that I can't stay home late in the morning, it's one of my odd quirks.
So I generally end up working 10-12 hours on my late day.
It's not like I'm digging ditches, so it's not a big deal.

So I'm sitting here at 7:25 updating my blog.
I'll try to write something creative and witty tomorrow

So my goal to blog once a week for 6 months is now completed.

WOOO!

For an Encore, I will now post once a day for the next week.
This could get boring FAST.

So all in all it was an ok weekend. On a side note, I figured out how to post to my LJ from my iPhone.

3 trips in 5 months is frazzling me a little.
I'm glad that this trip is only going to be a 7hour ride instead of the normal 10+
there's a line somewhere around 8 hours where it turns from a day's drive into suckage.
So I'm thinking it's going to be more pleasant this time around.

So last week we had a snow day from work (monday) and this week was MLK day.
Next week, I'm not working on Friday because we're headed up to Canada for my cousin Iannick's wedding.

I had a really nice couple look at my truck to possibly buy.
Looking online, there are several others available, some for much less money.
They seemed pretty interested in my truck, they want to have their mechanic take
a look at it.

It's going to be some odd timing, regarding the trip.
If the sale is still up in the air, I really wouldn't feel right about putting another 1000 miles on the truck, and if it sells, it'll be gone. I probably won't have enough time to get a car before we go to Canada. I'm not really crazy about driving my mom's car, but it'll do.

I had a pretty good weekend, got to spend some time with Laura, as well as getting some stuff done around the house.

Due to some increased difficulty,I went to the doctor today and started back on a regimen of allergy products.
We're hopeful that this concoction will provide me at least a more comfortable experience at large.

I'm also going for another sleep study at some point in February.
They think I have The Apnea...

So I'm pretty excited, that at the beginning of March I'll be going to Texas to visit my buddy Dorene for several days. I've been promising for quite some time now, to the point where Dorene refused to celebrate until I sent her the confirmed trip email. I get to play golf in March (woot!)

I'm glad the holidays are finally through, I'm looking forward to the warmer weather now...
